Hello and welcome.

Whether you are a seasoned old hand, a complete novice or anything in-between, welcome to the Upware Boat Club web site.

My personal experience has been that, whatever your level of expertise, the Great Ouse is home to many like-minded boaters who will offer camaraderie, advice and support. Nowhere is this more-so than in the various boat clubs that use the river; first of which is, of course, Upware Boat Club in my unbiased, non-partisan view as the current Commodore!

Upware Boat Club is a “virtual” club in that we don’t own any premises, however we organise a number of weekend boating social events on the river between April and September and dinner-events in April and October. In addition to this we top and tail the season with a “winter cruise” around February (no-boats involved, just a warm hotel and entertainment) and an AGM in December.

Our flagship event is the Summer Regatta, which will be hosted at the Ship Brandon Creek again this year. This comprises two days of competitive games on the river and a night of informal dining, entertainment and themed fancy dress.
